Robert Kubica in Rally of Portugal - Day 2

After first very unlucky day of the Rally of Portugal, during which Robert Kubica broke two tires and didn't reach the fifth Special episode, today Pole will try to gain experience and show what he is able to do. Kubica can still mess up a lot during the other OSes. Below is live-timing, videos, photos and comments.

How it was yesterday:
Let's recall how the competition proceeded yesterday. Robert at first OS was fourth in WRC2 and 18 overall in the race. In the second OS Pole had a little adventure, which you can see HERE. After that, the radiator has been punctured as well as tyre. Right after OS, Robert had to immediately repair the damaged parts what you can see HERE and HERE.
The third OS Robert ended very well and was even faster than Michal Kosciuszko. Kubica finished second in WRC2 and 15 in the general. The fourth OS Kubica drove brilliantly and would win the class WRC2, but at the end of stage he invaded too aggressively the embankment, the tyre fell off the rim and damaged. Eventually, he was second, just 0.1 seconds behind Esapekką Lappim. The Pole was promoted to the GC 13 place (3rd in class). However, before Kubica there were still 190 km of road section to Lisbon. He had to drive it on the same tires, and the only backup has already been used.
At 50 km before the Lisbon tire overheated and burst, and Kubica didn't reach the start of 5th OS. Pole can, however, take part in the competition today, but to his time will be added the time of the winner of 5th OS in the classification WRC2 and 10 minutes of punishment.
The Rally of Portugal leads Sebastien Ogier, who is 4.4 seconds ahead of Dani Sordo. In WRC2 class the fastest is Esapekka Lappi, who is half a minute ahead of Elfyn Evans.
No longer fighting in the general standings, Robert will be able to get today its main objective of the Rally of Portugal, which is learning and gaining experience. But surely Pole will compete for winning some of the OS'. He is now 53 overall and 15th WRC2 class.
