Eric Boullier, Lotus Renault GP boss, said yesterday that Robert Kubica feels good and his condition is improving, but to restore damaged nerves it takes a long time. The Frenchman supposes that in late summer, Robert will begin the final phase of rehabilitation, and in autumn it will be possible to carry out private testswith his participation.
Lotus Renault GP team visited the previous weekend the Russian Sochi, where in 2014 is to be played the first in the history Formula 1 Grand Prix of Russia. While a press conference the head of the team, Eric Boullier was asked about Robert Kubica. The Frenchman said that he often talks with the Polish driver who is getting better. However, nerves regeneration takes a very long time, which is a normal situation.
Boullier believes that in late summer Kubica will start the final phase of rehabilitation, and after that the tests will be possible, probably with use of a Renault 2009 car. But still it is not possible to give even the approximate dates of these drives.
We must consider this information as a very positive, finally confirming the recovery of Kubica.
